Interview with Ryder Skye

First off, for those who might not know you, what are is your name and please describe yourself?

My name is Ryder Skye and I am half Japanese and half Caucasian. My measurements are 34-24-33, I have brown hair, hazel eyes, and am 25 years old. I was born and raised in California and am currently going to college and finishing up my degree in Women's Studies.

How did you first get into the adult industry?

How I first fell into the industry was kind of a random situation. To sum it up without writing an entire book. I was an assistant during the day to a VP and danced at a bikini bar at night. I started modeling on the side for fun which eventually turned into nude artistic modeling. From there I decided to look into getting paid to model for photographs of a graphic nature. Which to the extent of porn I still had not done. So one day I walked into Exotic Star Models and spoke with September regarding work. Since stills were mostly taken during scenes I decided to "try" solo and girl/girl. To be honest I didn't think I could do it, but soon enough I did my first scene on Easter Sunday. I have to say that had to have been the best move ever because I have loved it ever since. So, as you may have assumed, I quit my day job and now I do this.

What made you interested in entering the adult industry?

I have no idea.

How long have you been in the industry?

I have been in the industry for about eight months now, and still going.

Are there any people in the industry that you would love to work with but haven't had a chance to yet? If so who are they?

Yes, Jessica Drake and Kirsten Price

Who are your favorite people to work with?

The boys and girls who I share a particular chemistry with. I never know that until the scene starts and if I do the scene will be hot as hell. Which I would say makes for a good scene, and we all want good scenes out there.

How would you like to see your career progress in the future?

Pretty much like every new girl in the business. I want a contract.

Do your friends and family know that you are in the industry and do they support your decision?

Some friends, no family just yet. I would like to keep it that way for as long as possible.

What sort of things were you interested in when you were younger?

I wanted to be an actress and a painter. I have 10 years of acting training and was an art major in college, originally.

What personality trait or traits would your friends say best described you as young girls? Also please explain your answer.

Slightly crazy, impulsive, talked to much and said way to many things without thinking, shy, pessimistic, had a love for animals, and of course a drama queen. Explain my answer, I am not sure I need to.

What are some of the qualities or traits you look for in a significant other?

All good things that describe the complete opposite of me. Also, someone who doesn't put up with my bullshit, in a nice way.

Share a silly, stupid, funny or embarrassing story that happened recently at work, school, a modeling or acting job that you can share with our fans?

Are there any projects or special events coming up that you would like to promote, if so please do so?

I have a ton of movies still waiting to be released. I update my website and myspace blog when they come out. I am signing at AVN for the Pistol Whip booth, and hosting a party with the Wicked girls in Vegas January 10^th.
