Now joy-scape.com is stable, it is time to upgrade or renovate the looks a bit. So we have made some new headers for Joy-scape.com and the holiday season that is coming.

the latest server change

HI all,

We have had now three server changes in total at joy-scape.com, and finally we think we have found te right place to host joy-scape.com on. we are growing so fast that even the new server couldn't take the heat and went down several times.

Joy-scape.com is now 8 months in business and is doing very well, with 15.000 unique visitors, almost 1 TB traffic and over 55 million hits each month we are doing well i can say. On the other hand the costs of operating joy-scape get higher and higher so we are testing at the moment what is the best advertising method. 

If anyone has any suggestions or remark please send a message to my account here on joy-scape.com and we will consider it. Also if there are people that does not have enough space or need more blogs please send me a message and we will arrange it.

Server update Part 2

Today we have moved server definitively,

Our news server is up and running, alls blogs are moved and everything is running perfectly.  in some cases when people did not read their emails well we had to delete some posts. We are sorry for the inconvience.

This is the email send out two days ago:

Part 2 of the server upgrade.

We did try the server update last week and it went reasonable, but our Blog platform was not working well with the latest versions of our Server software, so we transferred everything back to the old server. In the meantime thinking what to do. This weekend it is time to try again. We managed to get a exact copy of the old server (software like), but with much more power.

So we will be changing DNS servers on Saturday 12.00 Hrs CET and move to the new server. We will use a backup of the site from Friday.

SO IF YOU POST SOMETHING ON THE SITE, IT IS POSSIBLE THAT YOU HAVE TO DO IT AGAIN IF YOU POST BETWEEN FRIDAY 18.00 HRS AND SATURDAY 12.00 HRS, WE CANNOT MAKE ANY GUARANTEE THAT ALL THE POSTING WILL TRANSFER.

100 users deleted

Today we have deleted over a 100 Users, who's account weren't activated over the last months. We do this every now and then to keep our userbase clean.

Also today we have noticed that two blogs we're redirecting to Mallware sites, we were attended on this by the site stopmalware.org.

We will increase inspections of all blogs for this matter.

New languages available.

We have been working very hard to complete the translations of our service in German, French and dutch. But we have managed it, from now on you can put your blog management  panel in one of the four languages.

How to do this, well fairly simple:

Go into the profile settings, look for Languages and select the preferred language:

New version coming in August

At this moment we are very busy to implement the latest mods on out beta test server and we are looking forward to test it the following weeks;

- We hope to implement the following: image resize on upload.
- RSS import of other blogs.
- Posting APi

Following month we will also start out monthly newsletter keep a close eye on this blog because we shall announce a great contest with lots of nice prizes. All you need is a active Blog.

Some small changes..

We have comitted some small changes to our frontpage and blog platform.

On our frontpage we have changed the way the latest updates are shown, instead of a long list with all the latest entries, we are from now on providing a list with the latest updates blogs.  This is a bit fairer to the bloggers that are not posting that much and we believe that they will attract more visitors to their blogs.

In the meantime we have also added a new page with the latest 100 entries posted across the blog platform. This page can be found here  and is also accesible through the frontpage.

How to add a warning page to your blog !!!!

Some people have asked me how to build a warning page, well It is very simple:

Just download this little file and add the contents of it to your template.

to download this file, right click and save as.

This warning page is offcourse not 100% fool proof but does the trick of warning people. The java script should be added to your template before the tag, this can be done by clicking on template and choosing edit template.

Hi bloggers,

Some of you asked for some additional features, to edite, maintain and read your comments, well in the menu we have added a comments section, just select the entries tab. and click comments.

After this, the following field will appear, showing all comments placed on your blogs:

In this overview you can:

1 - Search for certain Commants

2 - View edit or delete one at the time or

3 - Delete more then one comment.

We hope that is is something you like. We are busy with some other features, like automatically posting when a date ion the future is added. ANd more stuff. If you have comments, remarks or suggestions just let us know.

Howto find a name for your blog

from time to time we are asked how to come up with a nice blogname:

I wil try to answer your questions, one by one, to find a name for your blog it should be clear what you wanna post on it, one of the basic rules can be just to add a simple word to ir, like your blogs is about teens lets add heaven, paradise, dungeon or whatever, want to make it special change the s from teens into a z getting the name Teenzheaven for example.

An other question is where to find movies and pictures, well actually this is the nasty part, just look around very good at other forums, linkdumps and more, so some people uses sites like katzporn.com, or forums they are member off. ALthought we do not see always that it is a repost it is offcourse much nicer to come up with original stuff...
